I am writing this post just to get input from you guys out there. Aku dah bf anak aku for approximately 3 mos now. At this i just a short cut way of handling ebm. This is by far the simplest and convenience method for me. It might not be your style, but should in any case my way is harming the ebm, please leave a comment.
Pumping Session 1 - Subuh
Use pump sterilised at 10.00 p.m. (?)
Once pump, pour in dispo beg and tied with rubber band in freezer
Usually gets about 6-7 oz (4 oz & 3 oz in a beg)
ebm stored in freezer for storage
Pumping Session 2 - 11-ish (At work)
Use pump sterilised after Pumping Session 1
Content of Avent Out & About Beg
- 1 small (or medium) iceman cooler pack
- 2 to 4 packs of techni ice (4 cubes in 1 pack)
- pump
- 3 -4 dispo begs
Pump and store ebm in dispo begs and store ebm in Avent Out & About Beg
Shake pump off from excess ebm and store in Avent Beg
Pumping Session 3 - 2 to 3 pm
Re-use Pump (without Sterilise)(??)
Repeat above process
Pumping Session 4 - 6 to 8 pm
Repeat Pumping Session 4
all ebms safely stored in fridge (for tomorrow's consumption) at about 9.00 p.m.
Question:
1. Boleh ke pakai pump tu tanpa sterelise? So far, anak aku takde la terbantut or cirit ke apa.
2. Tahan ke techni ice and coleman icepack tu? So far, by 9.00 p.m. tu, beg tu cam dah rasa sejuk sepoi-sepoi bahasa je.

kalau ala2 sejuk2 bahasa ko tambahlah sikit lg techni ice or beli coleman ice brite yg besau sikit tuh....

Kalau ada..sampai je kat opis ko simpan techni ice n coleman icepack dlm freezer..lps pam baru masukkan semula dlm bag avent tuh.....
at least 2-3jam tingkatkan 'life time' kebekuan...

yep,
takde masalah aku pun guna pump tanpa properly sterilized dulu.
kalau ada peti sejuk lagi senang kot. masuk techni ice semua dalam freezer ngan ebm sekali. masa nak balik baru angkut keluar. tapi kalau nak masuk ebm kat bawah pun ok jugak, so no risk cair after being frozen.

1. aku takdak la serajin ko nak sterilize equip hari2 beb. call me pemalas, but sterilizing bottles and such once a week was what i did. (psst, it's a secret)
2. kalau ikut spec die thn brp lama? aku dulu bubuh je ebm dlm cooler bag yg berisi ice brick. tp lepas tu baru sedar yg opis aku ni ada fridge - lalu, aku simpan ebm dlm fridge, ice brick tu aku sejukkan lg dlm freezer.
